About Scheme
The CM-Promotion of Readiness, Awareness and Technical Insights for Guiding Youth Advancement (CM-PRATIGYA) Scheme , announced by the Government of Bihar, is a flagship initiative aimed at empowering the youth of the state for a brighter future. The scheme focuses on equipping young people with skill development and workplace readiness training, enabling them to better understand employment opportunities and gain practical exposure in both manufacturing and service sectors.

Who can Apply for the Scheme?
Target Beneficiary
Youth who are permanent residents of Bihar.
Age Group
18 to 28 years (as on the date of application).
Educational Qualification
Minimum 12th pass, OR ITI / Diploma holders, OR Completed Government Skill Training or other certificate courses of 6 months or more, OR Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline.
Note:
The candidate currently undergoing any skill training, apprenticeship, internship, or student training program under Central or State Government schemes, as well as candidates who are presently employed, shall not be eligible to apply under CM-PRATIGYA.
Financial Assistance under the Scheme
Monthly Stipend shall be paid to the youth of Bihar through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) till the period of internship.
₹4,000/month
For youth who have passed their 12th class.
₹5,000/month
For ITI / Diploma holders.
₹6,000/month
For graduates and post-graduates.
Sustenance Allowance Duration
₹2,000/month
Candidates who have secured internships outside their home district will be provided a sustenance amount of ₹2,000 per month for the first three months.
₹5,000/month
Candidates who secure internships outside Bihar will be provided a sustenance amount of ₹5,000 per month for the entire duration of their internship.
03 - 12 months
The internship shall have a minimum duration of 3 months and may extend up to 12 months, depending on the requirements of the industry/establishment and the interest of the candidate.
Internship Sectors
Eligibility of the Establishment / Industry / Employer
The establishment must be at least three years old and should have valid registrations for EPFO, ESIC, GST, Certificate of Incorporation, and Udyog Aadhaar from Bihar.
Any establishment, industry, or employer may deploy interns up to a maximum of 10% of their total manpower registered.
The type of entities/employer eligible:

MSMEs only from Bihar that are registered and operational within the state shall be allowed.

Government entities shall be only from Bihar state.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), whether based within the state or outside, are eligible to participate in the CM-PRATIGYA Scheme for the deployment of interns.

Large-scale industries with an annual financial turnover of ₹250 crores or above from any state in the country are eligible to participate in the CM-PRATIGYA Scheme.
